π Easy Rules to Make Nouns Plural
1. Most words β just add βsβ
Singular | Plural |
cat | cats |
book | books |
car | cars |
tree | trees |
2. If it ends in s, x, z, ch, or sh β add βesβ
Singular | Plural |
bus | buses |
box | boxes |
dish | dishes |
bench | benches |
3. Words ending in βyβ β change βyβ to βiβ and add βesβ
But only if thereβs a consonant before the ‘y’!
